On Thursday 24th of September I went to the summer festival in the Japanese school in
Abu Dhabi with two of my sisters. I was invited since I’m a student in Japanese course as
an activity to enjoy ourselves and practicing Japanese with native people.
It was my second time being there and it was so fun in both times but
I preferred the first time since I knew more people and it was a new experience for me.
The festival started at 4 pm till 7pm, but I was late I arrived at 5:45 pm.
The place was well decorated and there was a lot of emeriti and Japanese
people ~
when I first entered I was looking for sensei and I said hi , she
was playing her cute son then I went to buy ice with strawberry flavor <3.
Then I met my Japanese classmate and we talked after that my sis played a
mini basketball game. You have 3 shots if you got all three you got 1st,
prize if 2 you got 2nd, if you got 1 you got 3rd and if you got nothing
you got entry prize so my sis got entry prize since none of the 3 trial
got in. we also played another game which is like you got to “fish” the balloons
with small hook, we didn’t get any balloons yet they gave us balloons.
Here is the prize and the balloon that my sis got
They were selling takoyaki but it was finished when I arrived and I heard it tastes like a fish so I’m not interested in eating it anymore . The games finished at 6:30 and the student began dancing traditional dance it looked like this one but it was more fun
Then they danced again with everyone invited but me and my sisters didn’t join ^^.
The festival was very nice but do bad we arrived late, next time hopefully
we will arrive earlier, I loved the cute kids(Japanese and emeriti) with
kimonos and it was nice to see emeriti mother helping in selling and
arranging the festival .
